St. Louis needs win to land top spot in playoffs

April 7, 2015

ST. LOUIS – For the St. Louis RiverSharks, it’s pretty simple: win tonight, and they’re the number one seed in the upcoming Midwest Professional Basketball Association playoffs.  Lose, and they drop to number two, behind the Bloomington Flex.

The RiverSharks take on the Gateway Steam tonight at Center St. Louis in suburban Afton, Missouri at 7:00 p.m.  The Steam will hold the fourth seed in the playoffs, regardless of the outcome of tonight’s game.

The playoffs begin Thursday in Bloomington, Illinois, with the number one seed playing the Gateway Steam at 5:00 p.m. CDT, and the number two seed playing the third-seeded Champaign Swarm at 8:00 p.m. CDT.  The championship game will be held Friday at 7:05 p.m. CDT in Bloomington.
