(Fort Wayne, IN) The Unified Basketball Alliance, Inc. (UBA) announced that the 2021 UBA Showcase Event would feature six games beginning on January 16, 2021. The Event begins on January 15, with Media Day, practice sessions, and a press conference to be hosted by Epic Center (formerly Spiece Fieldhouse) in Fort Wayne.

Four of the charter UBA teams will participate in the event. The New York Strong, Harlem Black Rattlers, Indiana Swarm and St. Louis Riversharks will play six games in the showcase events.

South Haven Christian Church Recreation Center (Valparaiso, IN) will host two games on Saturday January 16 at 2pm and 4pm. Concordia Seminary (Ft. Wayne, IN) will host 3 games. On Monday January 18 the games will be part of the Martin Luther King day celebration and will be played at noon and 2pm. The UBA and Concordia Seminary are pleased to support the MLK Club, Inc of Ft Wayne and their activities celebrating the day. On Tuesday 1/19 there will be one game played at Concordia at 3pm. The final game of the showcase will be played in New York when Covid-19 restrictions are lifted.

The Showcase Event was originally scheduled for July, 2020 in New York but because of the Covid-19 pandemic had been postponed and rescheduled several time. The UBA because of its alliance with the Midwest Professional Basketball Association (MPBA) and the Minor League Challenge (MLC) organization decided to move five games of the event to the Midwest because of the success the MPBA and MLC had in sponsoring five different events including the inaugural multi day Minor League Challenge in July and three MPBA showcases at various locations and a UBA Combine event. The MLC event and the UBA combine were held at Concordia Seminary with strict Covid-19 protocols administered. Temperature checks, mandatory mask use, social distancing, enhanced sanitary measures, and limited attendance were part of the standards used and will be in effect at all showcase events

Commissioner Howard Jordan and Associate Commissioner Ed Schumer will be in attendance.
The New York coaching contingent includes Lloyd Desvigne, Sam Worthen, Jason Cole, Gerard Jones, Brian Coleman, and James Ryan. The Midwest contingent includes Bennie Lewis, Preston Thomas, Alondray Rogers, Philip Gary, Rick Lewis, and Brian C. Johnson.
