CHICAGO - The St. Louis RiverSharks stepped on the accelerator early and never let up, cruising to an easy 129-101 over the Chicago Force at the Kroc Center Friday. The win puts the RiverSharks (10-3) in a virtual tie for second place in the Midwest Professional Basketball Association standings with the Champaign Swarm (11-4).
Jerrold Brooks recorded an MPBA-record eight three-point shots en route to 35 points to lead all scorers. Teammate Keith DeWitt dropped in 26 on 10-of-18 shooting from the field while hauling down 18 rebounds. Marcus Goode added 20.
Marvin Lee paced the Force (3-13) with 22 points. Darius Smith earned 21 points while Erin Pryor scored 16. The Force were cold from three-point range, hitting only one of 14 shots, and have now dropped their last seven in a row.
