St. Charles, MO - A second consecutive well-balanced scoring distribution propelled the Gateway Steam to their second win in as many games.  The 109-95 win over the Windy City Groove moved the Steam to 3-9 on the season while dropping the Groove to 2-9.

Lee Fisher led the Steam in scoring with 21 points while also registering double-figures in rebounds with 11.  Following closely behind with 19 and 18 points respectively were Steam newcomer Tarvin Gaines and Terrell Williams.

Nate Fuqua once again led the Groove in scoring with 28 points while also pulling down 13 rebounds.

Despite the final margin the Groove significantly out-performed the Steam behind the 3 point line shooting 38% (7 of 18) to the Steam’s 22% (2 of 9).  The Steam was able to off-set this advantage by shooting 46% (36 of 78) to the Groove’s 38% (26 of 67) inside the arc.

The Steam and Groove both play again on Saturday in Chicago, this time with the Steam facing the Chicago Force while the Groove host the St. Louis RiverSharks.
