ST. LOUIS – Keith DeWitt of the St. Louis RiverSharks has been named the Midwest Professional Basketball Association Player of the Week for the week ending January 25, 2015, the league announced today.

DeWitt scored 34 points and grabbed 14 rebounds in a three-point comeback win over the Chicago Force Sunday at Family Arena in St. Charles.  On the season, DeWitt is averaging 19.5 points and 9.5 rebounds per game, good for sixth and second in the league, respectively.  His 57 total and 26 offensive rebounds both lead the MPBA.

Darrin Johnson’s debut with the Windy City Groove was a strong one Sunday against Champaign.  The Southern Arkansas product scored 36 points in his first MPBA game.  The 36-point output tied for the highest in the league this season with St. Louis' Brandon Hogg.

Bloomington’s Fabyon Harris also had a strong week.  The Texas A&M guard scored 16 points Wednesday against the Groove, and then led his team Sunday against Gateway with 26 points, many of them down the stretch.  The Flex’s Justin Bocot continued to keep himself in the MVP conversation, with games of 22 and 25 on Wednesday and Sunday, respectively.
