ST. LOUIS – The Jacksonville Generals, one of the Midwest Professional Basketball Association’s additions for the 2017 season, have revealed their team colors and logo via social media channels.

The color scheme is dark navy and yellow, with white accents. The logo features the team’s name in navy above a yellow wing insignia, and a basketball in the center of the wings. Five navy stars sit below the basketball.

“It’s a great look,” said Craig Fata, associate commissioner and chief communications officer for the MPBA. “It acknowledges the military name without being overly war-like. The balance is perfect.”

The logo was designed by Joyce Thomas, who also created the logo for the MPBA and many of its teams.

The search for the team’s first coach, meanwhile, is ongoing.

A.J. Guyton, associate commissioner and director of basketball personnel, is heading up the search.

The Jacksonville Generals begin their inaugural season in January 2017. The team’s schedule is expected to be released in the coming weeks.

The logo can be seen on the MPBA website, thempba.com, and on the team’s Facebook and Twitter accounts.
