LIMA, Ohio – The hard-luck Lima Express snapped a five-game losing streak with a 108-101 win over the Gateway Steam Sunday, bringing to an end a skid in which none of the losses was by more than nine points.  The Express raised their record to 4-7, while the Steam fell to 3-7.

Lima jumped out to a 14-0 start over the first four minutes of the game and never looked back.  The Express led 31-11 after the first quarter and 51-37 at halftime.

Lima then carried an 81-66 lead into the fourth quarter before the Steam cut the Express lead to four at 101-97 with 35 seconds remaining.  But Gateway would get no closer.

Kyle Meyer led the Express with 27 points and 12 rebounds, while Bryant Austin and Jody Hill each poured in 20.  Cordaryl Ballard scored eleven points, grabbed nine rebounds and dished out seven assists.

Anthony Goode paced Gateway with 25 points and four steals.  Connell Crossland added 24 and Anthony Jones chipped in 20.  Terrell Williams notched ten rebounds and Ben Merritt had four steals for the Steam.
