Bocot named MPBA Player of the Week

31-point, 11-rebound effort earns reigning MVP second award this season

ST. LOUIS - After achieving a double-double in a weekend victory, Justin Bocot of the St. Louis RiverSharks has been named Player of the Week in the Midwest Professional Basketball Association for the second time this season.

The 2015 league Most Valuable Player led the RiverSharks with 31 points and 11 rebounds in a 117-105 win over the Pontiac 66ers on Sunday in St. Louis. The 6-4, 175-pound guard played at Southern Illinois University and is a native of Bloomington, Ill.

The MPBA features a busy six-game week beginning with a pair of Wednesday contests as the Pontiac 66ers visit the Windy City Groove at the Kroc Center in Chicago and the St. Louis RiverSharks take on the Gateway Steam in a cross-town rivalry game at Emerson Performance Center of Harris-Stowe State University in St. Louis.
