ST. LOUIS – In what had been a nip-and-tuck game, the St. Louis RiverSharks used a 39-point fourth quarter to pull away from the Pontiac 66ers for a 117-105 win at Emerson Performance Center Sunday afternoon.

Both teams started the game on fire from three-point range, as the RiverSharks and 66ers combined for 9-of-16 shooting from beyond the arc and a 30-26 lead for St. Louis after the first quarter.

Alfonzo Houston led Pontiac to 50-49 lead at halftime, and the two teams headed into the fourth tied at 78.

That’s when Justin Bocot and reigning MPBA Player of the Week Bruce Massey broke loose.  Along with help from Nate Green, Bocot and Massey pushed St. Louis to outscore Pontiac 39-27 in the fourth.

Bocot led all scorers with 31 points.  He also had eleven rebounds and four steals for St. Louis (4-4).  Massey finished with 23, while Brandon Roberson, Jaylen Fulton, Nate Green and Aaron Williams all scored in double figures.  Williams added 16 rebounds to go with his ten points.

Alfonzo Houston scored 29 for Pontiac (6-4), while Alex Marzette scored 18 in his debut with the 66ers.  Marcus Hammonds chipped in 14 points and 14 rebounds.
