Porter leaves Groove to head to China

Windy City forward becomes 30th player to advance from MPBA

CHICAGO - Windy City Groove head coach Handy Johnson has announced that forward Reginald Porter has left the team to sign with a club in Beijing, China.

Porter, a 6'8" forward from Martin Methodist College, played in all six of the Groove's game this season, with his best effort coming on January 30 against the Champaign Swarm, when he scored six points and grabbed five rebounds.

Porter is the 30th player overall to advance from the MPBA since the league began play in January of 2015.  He's the 10th to move on since the start of the current season on January 9, and the fourth in the past eight days.
