With two wins in two nights, the Chicago Blues have evened their Midwest Professional Basketball Association record at 3-3, after a wire-to-wire 113-97 performance over the host Pontiac 66ers Saturday at Pontiac High School.

The Blues led 34-16 after the first quarter before the 66ers cut it to four points in the second.  Chicago was able to answer with a run of its own before halftime to take a 54-43 lead at intermission.

Pontiac then cut into the Blues’ lead and narrowed the gap to six points in the early in the third quarter.  But Chicago quickly regained control and pushed the lead to 85-68 after three quarters.

The 66ers were hampered by losing leading scorer Jake Anderson to a contract in Mongolia earlier in the week.

Ryan Jackson led the Blues with 30 points.  Ron Patten and Jarrell Thomas added 17 points, while Chris Elder, Al Rapier and Antoine Ware each chipped in ten points apiece.  The Blues outrebounded the 66ers 49-37

Former University of Kansas All-American Sherron Collins did not play for the Blues due to a previous commitment at his alma mater

Alfonzo Houston paced the 66ers with 31 points.  Garrett Jefferson added 18 and Thomas Staton had 15.  Pontiac has dropped three straight games to fall to 3-3.
