CHICAGO – The St. Louis RiverSharks used a strong fourth quarter from Justin Bocot and Gavin Schumann to pull away from the host Chicago Blues 117-107 at the Kroc Center Saturday afternoon.

Tremell Adams, with ten points, led the Blues out to an eleven-point first quarter lead, and ended the frame up 29-24.  St. Louis took a brief 46-45 lead on a Bruce Massey free throw at the 3:02 mark of the second, but the Blues were able to regain the lead 55-52 heading into the half.

The third quarter was played nearly even before the RiverSharks opened up a seven-point lead with less than a minute to play.  St. Louis ended up leading heading into the fourth 85-80.

The fourth quarter was all St. Louis.  The RiverSharks opened up an 18-point lead late in the fourth after a Kenny McGowen layup before the Blues got the score back to within ten.

Bocot led St. Louis with 25 points, while Gavin Schumann scored 21.  Bruce Massey added 17, J.T. Sutton had 15, and McGowen finished with 13 for the RiverSharks (2-0).

Tremell Adams scored 28 for the Blues (0-1).  Al Rapier tallied 13, while Antoine Ware and Jakeem Hill each scored 12.
