MPBA player combine, officials clinic announced

A.J. Guyton to run event, held in Chicago on Sept. 26

 

ST. LOUIS – The Midwest Professional Basketball Association has finalized the details for its first fall combine in advance of the 2016 season.

                    The combine will take place on Sept. 26 at the Ray & Joan Kroc Corps Community Center, 1250 W. 119th St., Chicago, Illinois at 9:00 a.m.  Registration will begin at 8:00 a.m.

                    Participation is limited to the first 80 paid registrations.  The registration fee paid online in advance is $75, while the walk-up fee is $100.

                    A $25 non-refundable deposit will be required to guarantee a spot. 

                    Participants are encouraged to pre-register online by clicking here.  Even with pre-registration, payment on the day of the event will be $100.

                    Prospects will be run through a series of competitive drills and scrimmages.  A reversible jersey will be provided.  The combine will be run by MPBA Director of Player Personnel and former Chicago Bull A.J. Guyton.

                    Eligibility requirements for the MPBA are the same as that of the NBA.

                    An officials’ clinic will also be held.  Those interested in attending the officials’ clinic or in officiating in the MPBA in 2016 should register here.
