ST. LOUIS – Justin Bocot of the Bloomington Flex has won the Midwest Professional Basketball Association’s regular-season scoring title, with a 26.1 per-game average, one of five qualifying players to average better than 20 points per game this season.

St. Louis’ Jerrold Brooks was right behind Bocot at 25.2 per game.  Brooks was the league’s top three-point shooter, having made 58 on the season, one more than Bloomington’s C.J. Hampton.  Brooks’ percentage from beyond the arc also led the league at an impressive .483, and he was the top free-throw shooter as well, making 83.9% of his attempts from the line.

Keith DeWitt, with 40 total rebounds in his final two games, won the league rebounding crown with 215 total rebounds and a 10.8 per-game average.  He passed Bloomington’s Anthony Slack, the league leader for the final weeks of the season, who finished with 196 boards and a 10.3 per-game average.  Slack led the league in blocked shots with 56—ten more than Chicago’s Ronnie Carlwell.

Gateway’s Jake Anderson led the league in total assists with 91, a 4.5 per-game average.  The Force’s Darius Smith was second, with 78 assists and a 4.1 per-game average.

Smith led the league in steals with 59—more than 20 better than the next-best ball thief, Windy City’s Kenyon Smith, who finished with 36.
