FREE admission for high school students

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – Following a two-game road swing, the Champaign Swarm return home this Sunday, February 8, and are looking for an even bigger home-court advantage.

The Swarm are offering free admission to all area high school students in exchange for forming “The Beehive,” the Swarm’s official cheering section. There will be a competition between schools to see who brings the most students and the best representation. Tipoff against the Windy City Groove is 3 p.m.

In addition, the Unity High School Banner Singers will perform the National Anthem under the direction of Ashley Marshall.  Plus, there will be a halftime scrimmage featuring from the Champaign Park District Youth Hoops Girls 3rd and 4th grade level, coached by Lindy Loschen.

Tickets to the game are $8 for general admission and $12 for VIP seats. Kids, students and senior citizens are $5.

Fans can still catch the Swarm when they make a road trip to face the Chicago Force at 7 p.m. on Thursday, February 5, at the Kroc Center in Chicago. The game will be broadcast via live video-stream on www.theMPBA.com. Alvin Washington will call the play-by-play and Scott Beatty provides analysis.
